Bedrooms… Your retreat, your escape…
Or, if you grew up with two younger brothers like I did, your refuge. This is a space that should relax you and bring you a sense of calm. Choose the colors that make you happy and make this your sanctuary.
Project #1 – Master Bedroom
This is my current master. The before pictures were nice- cream carpet, greige walls and builder grade tile on the fireplace. But going a little bold can take it up a notch! Light gray carpet, charcoal walls, white blinds, white trim with black doors and a new fireplace surround – this room makes a statement but is still comfortable. (The before pictures were from the listing when I bought the house.)
Project #2 – En Suite Guest Room
An en suite guest room with 40 year old bedroom furniture. This was paint, carpet and new blinds. An inviting space for guests. (The before pictures were from the listing when I bought the house.)
Project #3 – A Guest Room
Another guest room. Don’t have the money to buy a headboard? No problem- paint it. This is a cost-effective way to finish off the room. Just use semi-gloss paint. This way if sheets rubbing against the wall leave any marks, they can be easily cleaned. (The before pictures were from the listing when I bought the house.)
Project #4 – Other Bedrooms
These are bedrooms from previous houses. Do some look familiar? It’s because they are. This is a perfect example of how you can take your design with you. The room may change, but the foundation is still there. You don’t have to lose a design you like just because you move. And, there is something very comforting about “putting your old room back together” in your new house. It makes it feel like home instantly.
Let’s Do This!
Home is the most important place for everyone. It’s where your family memories are made. It’s your reprieve from the outside world. It’s your biggest investment. I’ve been doing this for a long time. Now, it’s time to take what I’m most passionate about to the next level and make an impact on a greater scale. This doesn’t feel like work to me. I love every minute of it. For me, there is no greater feeling than seeing the joy on people’s faces when I can help them create a home they truly love and change their lives in a positive way.
I would love the opportunity to create that for you.
